Clarifier Sizing Spreadsheet

Below is a link to a clarifier sizing spreadsheet developed by HydroFlo Tech.

By inputting the major design criteria, you can solve for the clarifier projected surface area and overall clarifier volume.

The spreadsheet operates on Microsoft Excel 2003 or later.

What is the Process Flow Rate 100.00            
What is the Desired Hydralic Loading Ratio 0.39   NOTE:  The hydraulic loading ratio is typically set from .25 to .5  The lower the settling rate or specific gravity (of the settleable material) the lower the hydraulic loading ratio. 

Hydraulic loading ratios can be determined by field tests or calculated based on the specific gravity of the chemically treated solids.
What is the Desired Plate Spacing 1.93  
           
NOTE:  Plate spacing can be set to any number desired.  The recommended low is .75" and the high is usually 2" but higher can be specified if required by your application.  Plate spacing is usually determined by the quantity of
