HMI Control Panel Programming
As little as 20 years ago, relay logic was the
the industry standard. Today, PLC's have taken over.
These sophisticated programmable logic controllers are capable of
functions unachievable by simple relay logic. But to truely
harness the power of today's PLC based systems they must be used in
conjunction with a .
At
Hydro-Flo, we design our HMI’s so that they are intuitive to the
process. All of the screens and operations are laid out in a
logical "common sense" format so that the operator is not lost in a
confusing jumble of screens and processes. THe individual
screens are broken down showing individual aspects of the overall
system as well as their relationship with ancillary systems or
processes. P&ID's as well as process controls, parameter
entry, system alarms and maintenance screens all inter-relate in a
user friendly fashion. When an alarm sounds, the screen alerts
the operator to the specific alarm situation as well as any items
that may be contributing to the alarm situation.
There are many things to consider when
designing a HMI (human-machine interface). Hydro-Flo’s goals
are to maximize efficiency, ease-of-use and minimize
system downtime. |
